The strong year for animated movie openings continued over the weekend as Dreamwork’s “Monster vs Aliens” led the box-office with $58.2 million. The box-office take was on target wtih predictions for the highly anticipated film.
Second place went to horror film, “The Haunting in Connecticut,” taking in $23 million.
“Knowing” dropped 40% from last week’s top spot to third.
The top five was rounded out by “I Love You Man” in fourth and “Duplicity” in fifth.
