    nice effects on the trailer… the film will be visually interesting, but knowing the kind of movies Roland Emmerich makes the film will be intellectually brain dead…

    I like the companion website they’ve created for this film, advertising their Institute for Human Continuity (IHC). However, as someone who is studying Environmental Geology, it makes my head hurt to read some of the mindless crap they have on that otherwise very well crafted site. You know someone doesn’t know what the hell they are talking about when they refer to “sustainable” nuclear generators. The WHOLE point of sustainability is that a resource is replenished at the same rate or faster than it is consumed. Nuclear power generation, while generally safe and clean in modern times, is NOT sustainable nor can it ever be sustainable because nuclear material takes thousands of years for the Earth to produce and only a few months for us to expend in a nuclear reactor.
