Razzie Nominees Announced

As the Acadamy prepares to reward the best movies from 2008, the Razzies is gearing up to recognize the worst movies and performances from last year. The nominations for the 2008 Razzies were announced yesterday and Mike Myers’ “The Love Guru” led the way with seven nominations including worst picture, worst actor for Myers, worst director and worst screenplay.

Director Uwe Bolle was nominated for a lifetime underachievement award.

The Razzies are determined by 687 voting members of the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation. Winners are announced on the morning before the Academy Awards.

Below is the full list of nominations.

    Whoa, back up a second! Ben Kingsley was nominated for War, inc. WTF?! He was hilarious in that movie! Normally the Razzies are right on, but they totally missed the mark on that one.

    I loved War, Inc. I’m gonna go buy the DVD now so I can watch it again.

    Its somewhat unfair to pick Paris Hilton as worst actress. (I can’t believe I’m defending that no talent bitch but here goes.) Paris at least has the excuse of being little more then an amateur actress, and a drugged out one at that. Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz and even Jessica Alba are professionals and that makes their performances comparatively worse than PH’s.
