“Star Trek” Trailer Not on All “Quantum of Solace” Prints

November 16, 2008 By Mike Hickerson 6 Comments

“Star Trek” fans flocking to theaters this weekend to catch their first glimpse of J.J. Abrams’ upcoming “Trek” movie may be disappointed.

Paramount Pictures announced that the new “Trek” trailer would be attached to the latest Bond installment, “Qauntum of Solace.”  However, according to SyFy Portal, only about three-quarters of the “Solace” prints delivered to theaters had the trailer attached.

“Many theater owners are mixing and matching which trailers they shove in front of ‘Quantum,'” said Josh Tyler of Cinema Blend. “This is particularly important since Paramount has refused to release the trailer online. They’re holding it gripped tight in their fists until Monday, which means plenty of people are out there heading to see the latest Bond movie in part of in full because they can’t wait to see the trailer.”

Fans may want to check with the box office to make sure their showing of “Quantum” will have the trailer they want to see.  Or they can wait for Monday when the trailer is released on-lin

I had no idea. And to think I almost complained about not getting to the theater in time to see it on the giant screen.

It’s only on the first and 3rd prints or so. But it sounds like it may be on even less because the theatres are “mixing and matching” the trailers. They aren’t supposed to do that.

After the turd that was the last James Bond film, I’m glad I just watched the trailer from the comfort of my own home. And it was AWSOME. My real feelings on it are here http://cordrazine.wordpress.com/2008/11/19/sylar-live-long-and-prosper/
