Earlier this year, author Stephenie Meyer ceased working on the fifth installment of her “Twilight” series when a rough draft was leaked to the Internet At the time, Meyer said she had lost interest in completing the project.
Now it appears the author may be changing her mind about completing the fifth installment in the story of Bella and Edward.
“People are going to forget about it,” Meyer told SciFi Wire. “It’s going to go away, and that’ll be the time when I sneak back in and give it a try again. But it’s going to have to be after everything is [over]. It’s not writing in a fishbowl, because I can’t work that way.”
“Midnight Sun is not on my schedule right now,” Meyer said. “It’s part of my writing process that, for me to really write a story–and like I was saying before–I can’t think about what other people want and what other people are thinking and what the editing is going to be and what the expectations are when I’m writing. Because it’s paralyzing to do that. You really can’t put a word on the page. I have to be very alone with a story. It has to be just me and what’s happening, and I just can’t feel that way about it right now.”

If you want to, take all the time you need to feel comfortable to write the fifth book. I am thirteen years old, and I am rereading the Twilight Saga for the second time. I have never experienced what someone has done to you and your work, but I believe you should not listen to the fans that are rushing you. Instead, you take as much time as possible. Your an amazing author, and I am a patient person, as should every other fan be. If you want to wait an entire year to start Midnight Sun, I am completely fine with that. I think you are right to wait for all the commotion to die down, as I would probably do myself in your scenario.

I cant wait for the 5th book Midnight Sun to be published. I apologize that a person was stupid enough to release the first 250 pages for everyone to read. I love the fact that it is in Edward's view. The 6th book should be in Jacob's view. I love Jacob Black. When Edward left I cried. When he came back I was angry. But she isnt paying much attention to Jacob right now where I am in the 3rd book Eclipse. You are amazing and I dont know one person that hates the series.
But I pray that the next movie is as good as the book. Because Twlight the movie was no where near as great as the book.
