Meyer Open to Finishing Fifth “Twilight” Novel
Earlier this year, author Stephenie Meyer ceased working on the fifth installment of her “Twilight” series when a rough draft was leaked to the Internet At the time, Meyer said she had lost interest in completing the project.
Now it appears the author may be changing her mind about completing the fifth installment in the story of Bella and Edward.
“People are going to forget about it,” Meyer told SciFi Wire. “It’s going to go away, and that’ll be the time when I sneak back in and give it a try again. But it’s going to have to be after everything is [over]. It’s not writing in a fishbowl, because I can’t work that way.”
“Midnight Sun is not on my schedule right now,” Meyer said. “It’s part of my writing process that, for me to really write a story–and like I was saying before–I can’t think about what other people want and what other people are thinking and what the editing is going to be and what the expectations are when I’m writing. Because it’s paralyzing to do that. You really can’t put a word on the page. I have to be very alone with a story. It has to be just me and what’s happening, and I just can’t feel that way about it right now.”
Stephenie Meyer, please oh please finish the last book! I know that you were angry about whoever posted your work on the internet, I would be too. But think of how many more people would be angry if you didn’t finish it. I’m 16, as well as most of my other friends (including the guys) who are dying for this book to come out. These books have practically become of our lives, we read them over and over again and need another one to finish them! PLEASE!

Try to think about it before you sleep. You could have another dream. Think the impossible. Ask for ideas from friends, family and possibly fans. You have already wrote four so you can write this one with ease. Try conecting something in a daydream to a dream. And please finish the book. My mom and I are waiting patiently. She can’t wait for you to publish it. I am eleven years old and I love your books and I am sure everyone will like the rest.
Oh Stephanie! You have to have to have to finish writing Midnight Sun. I just finished Breaking Dawn and I am dying for more. I dedicated my whole last week to reading all of the series. I’ve done nothing else and I need more!
AHHH!!! Please Please Please, finish Midnight Sun, or make another twilight of Bella! You are an amazing writer, and i am so upset that people would turn on you and post your personal rough drafts. But show them you dont care, and you are better than them and complete the series! Please, for me and all the Twilight fans that are dying for and loving your books. I would love it if you would finish Midnight Sun. I read all 4 of the twilight series and have reread them over 2 more times. I would love it if you could continue the series as I am wanting more. Even a series on Jacob and Renesme or Alice and her past or the werewolves and the Embry soap opra would be a great story line. I really just want more of the Cullen’s and the Quileute’s, anything - there are so many possibilities. I hope you get inspired as I check back on your website weekly to see if you have any new projects and I keep hoping it will have something to dowith the Cullens and the wolves.
