Phoenix Comicon ’09 Gets Game with Yuri Lowenthal and Reuben Langdon

Phoenix Comicon ’09 Gets Game with Yuri Lowenthal and Reuben Langdon

October 1, 2008 By Sam Sloan 1 Comment

The Phoenix Comicon has signed Yuri Lowenthal (The Prince in “Prince of Persia: Sands of Time”) and Reuben Langdon (Dante from “Devil May Cry” 3 and 4) to come and speak at the January ’09 convention being held on January 23-25, 2009 at the Mesa Convention Center in Mesa, Arizona.

“Everyone be polite,” laughed Convention Director Matt Solberg, “with ninjas, hulks, and general kick-butt people, we’re glad the Phoenix Comicon’s on their good side!”

During a chock-filled career, Yuri Lowenthal has acted all over the world and has had a creative hand, writing, producing, and acting, in everything from movies to short stories. His extensive credits include the voice of the Prince himself in the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time video game, the Cartoon Network hit Naruto (playing Sasuke Uchiha), and Ben Tennyson in another CN hit, Ben 10: Alien Force.

“Yuri has lent his voice to many different types of media and shows. I for one want to know how he does it,” said Kate Davids, Communications Director.

Reuben Langdon, famous as the voice of Dante in the video game Devil May Cry 3 and 4, has also acted all over the world, including a time in Hong Kong where he worked with Jackie Chan on the Medallion.

A regular on the Power Rangers, Langdon had begun his career in Japan on the superhero show B-Fighter Kabuto (known as Beetleborgs Metallix in the U.S.). Adding to this impressive resume, he’s also working on the new Avatar movie with director James Cameron.

“Reuben’s career has ranged all over, in many different types of media, from games to movies. It’s exciting to see where a passion can take you,” said Guest Relations Director Amy Black.

The Phoenix Comicon is Arizona’s largest, multi-media, popular arts convention, focusing on comic books, anime, gaming, music, and film. The Comicon presents a full weekend schedule of guests and programming for hobbyists by attracting the top segments of the comics, anime, and gaming worlds.
