The Internet Movie Database (IMDB) has made the viewing of films and TV episodes free of charge on its Website for U.S. subscribers, according to BBC News.
More than 6,000 full-length feature films, new and classics, as well as current popular TV shows such as NBC’s “Heroes” and Fox’ “24” are being made available to watch. Classic episodes of the original “Star Trek” series can also be seen.
The first episodes of 2008-2009 series like “Knight Rider” and returning hit shows such as “30 Rock” will also be available for free viewing before their first television broadcast.
“We’re excited to offer our users a simple online experience to watch full-length movies and TV episodes for free,” said Col Needham, founder and managing director of IMDB.
“Our goal is to show our users every movie and TV show on the internet for free.”
