Whedon Shuts Down Production on “Dollhouse” — But Don’t Panic!

September 11, 2008 By Sam Sloan 3 Comments

Zap2it.com’s resident TV insider, Korbi Ghosh is reporting that production has been shut down on Joss Whedon’s highly-anticipated new FOX series “Dollhouse.”

Fox network reps have told Korbi that Whedon himself asked for the break so he could devote more time on beefing up the scripts. “Dollhouse” isn’t due to premiere until January 2009 so the network was happy to oblige his request –- especially considering the fact that Joss is pulling triple duty producing, writing and directing many of the episodes.

I’m glad you said don’t panic…cause between the time I read “Whedon Shuts Down Production on Dollhouse” and the time I read “But Don’t Panic!” I freaked out. It was a rough 0.5 seconds.

    You said it, Cross Knights.

It’s more like he needs a deadline extension on his term paper more than anything. The fact is he’s going back to fix scripts he’s (apparently) not happy with. So this is a good thing and can only make Dollhouse a better show.
