A.F.I. — The Best Of Nominees

It is that time again for the American Film Institute (AFI) to choose which films, out of a long list of nominees, to preserve for posterity.

afi-logo.gifThe AFI is an independent non-profit organization created by the National Endowment for the Arts, and was established by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1967 for the purpose of producing, educating and preserving film, television programming and videos for the education and appreciation of current and future generations.

AFI will choose the Top Ten from each each list in June 2008. The genres include Animation, Fantasy, Romantic Comedies, Science Fiction, Western, Gangster, Sports, Courtroom Drama, Mystery, and the Epic Film. We have listed the Sci-Fi and Fantasy films for you.
