You didn’t watch Monty Python’s Meaning of Life to the middle of the film, did you?

That guy that bashed the ending of ‘The Mist’, I revoke his horror card. No, I’m not going to spoil here. But I will say, the ending was CLASSIC Stephen King. If he’d ever read a novel by the man, he’d have not only accepted the ending, but seen it coming about 30min before it came. Stephen King is fabulous because his movies aim to do more than scare you, they are often like psychology experiments. The story isnt whatever monster or other event is happening, its how the characters deal (or don’t) in that scenerio. Everyone who wants horror movies to be more than slashers, this is is what Stephen King is for.

Thing about the end of “The Mist” is that he felt so forced and artificial. It’s not like there was something attacking them when they made the decision they made. It was more like “oh well, we are almost out of film… let’s end the characters here.” Characters who spent the whole film fighting to survive just laid down. I like horror, but this film was akin to watching Aliens and in the end having Ripley say “They have Newt and I trapped… and the reactor is about to blow up?” so she burns Newt alive with her flame thrower. Not a good ending, just a stupid one.

I thought it was python. There was a guy with really long arms looking for a fish. I thought that was a fever dream.
oh I promise not to sing the bumper anymore although there may be one more voicemail where I did it. I just felt like a kid on a tour of a fire house playing with siren.
