I’m a Mustang girl, always have been since I was little. This… is nice car. The GT350H is the one closest to my heart, but I would drive this one.

However, it’s gonna make people a little upset, because KITT was a Firebird, not a Mustang. I understand… it’s not the studio’s fault that Firebirds (and Camaros?) aren’t made anymore.

That said, the fact they went for a different car instead of customizing something to look more like a futuristic Firebird means they were more interested in possible sponsorship and ad dollars than anything else.

That said, of all the old shows to resurrect and “reimagine”, why this one? Please… make it stop.

Yeah it’s not right. They should have made a custom built car.

That is just ugly… sponsorship for the loss!

Let’s get something straight here… All network TV is about MONEY, period.

There’s no such thing as “staying true to the orginial”. If Peterbuilt had put up enough money, KITT would be a semi. If GM had really wanted it, KITT could have been the Camaro concept coming 2008/2009. It’s even got the right hood slit for the red light.

    Highest bidder wins.

I am a big Knight Rider fan and am not to thrilled at all with the design of this. It is true that the Firebird and Trans Am are not in production anymore but there are concepts out that could be modified as well the new camaro could be modified as it shares the same body style as the Firebird and Trans Am.
And those lights look atrocious the way they are. I don’t know who the designer was for this but I don’ think he deserves a job. The lights should be a single string, it looks broken by the hood.

I have a “wait and see” attitude. I think the car itself looks very cool, and it helps that it’ll be the first actual model of the GT500KR to go public. I’m also a Star Trek fan, and when I first heard they were going to make The Next Generation, I was floored. “How can they replace Kirk and Spock?!?!” The first season didn’t have a good start, but they worked out the bumps and it became a cool show. So I’m going to wait and see how this new KITT works out. Who knows… he just may surprise everyone.

I wonder why they did not used the obvious (new Chevy Camaro) as KITT…
