The set of “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was hit by a major theft this week after it was discovered that some it the computers, photographs and proprietary information being used for the production were stolen. Police are investigating.
Numbers picked up for the new CBS show “Big Bang Theory,” which first reports indicated the viewing was down. However, Nielsen’s final report shows that the new comedy held its own, as did the NBC SF comedy “Chuck.” Kevin McKidd fans will be happy to note that “Journeyman” did much better in its second week, actually keeping many of the “Heroes” viewers tuning in. “Heroes” did well but had a tough battle with ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” which edged out NBC for the Monday night top spot. Got one question: What is wrong with American viewers that they would rather watch some washed-out hack actors dance the mambo than watch some really great fantasy-fun drama like “Heroes.” — It’s truly a sick world.
ABC is set to resurrect its short-lived comedy “Cupid.” The original starred Emmy winning “Entourage” actor Jeremy Piven and told the tale of a man who thought he had been placed on Earth by Zeus to patch-up the wounded hearts of the romatically challenged. How’s that for political correctness? It’s unlikely that Piven will be attached to this new take on the 1998 series.
“Cavemen” got its premiere on Tuesday night on ABC to so-so ratings and poor critical reviews. The show stars Bill English, Sam Huntington, Nick Kroll, Kaitlin Doubleday, Stephanie Lemelin and Julie White. I actually missed it and forgot to DVR it. I was too busy catching up on the SCI FI Channel’s “Eureka” marathon which led up to the season finale. “Eureka” is an awesome show. And, without spoiling anything — what’s the deal with Joe Morgan’s character? Let’s hope he is coming back in season three.

Finally, just a reminder that the highly anticipated, critically acclaimed ABC show “Pushing Daisies” premieres tonight.
I’m very much looking forward to “Pushing Daisies”. I hope the look of the show is as colorful and bright as the trailer, as that’s a very different look now that most shows go for dark and gritty. I like it.
The second episode of Big Bang Theory was really good. A definite improvement on the pilot. And the superman bit was gold.
Trust me: if you like good TV and/or have a pulse, you won’t want to miss “Pushing Daisies”. It’s absolutely brilliant.
