Aliens On Fox, But For How Long?

August 29, 2007 By Sam Sloan 3 Comments

We have just learned that the Fox Network is considering a new, as yet untitled, SF sitcom about a dysfunctional family that moves into a gated community where all the residents are not what they appear to be.

You guessed it! They’re all aliens from other planets.

Writer/producer Dan Fogelman (“Fred Claus” & “Cars”) is the creator and will be the showrunner for this project.

“This is a traditional family sitcom except that [the neighbors] are named after professional athletes and drool green goo out of their snout,” Fogelman said.

Because this show will be about dysfunctional groups, it may actually stay on Fox, the most dysfunctional network on television when it comes to keeping sci-fi and genre-related shows on for more than three episodes.

Not to mention their “fair & balanced” news network.

Not to get political here, but I have yet to find any news channel, be it CBS, ABC, CNN, NBC, etc that are “fair and balanced.” They all let their particular bias show in the reporting of the news – which automatically disqualifies them all as real news stations, but more along the lines of commentators with a POV.

Should we be taking bets on how longs it lasts?

    (I say 3 episodes max…)
