The origin of Vlad the Impaler is examined in “Dracula Year Zero.” Vlad was one of the first recorded persons to sell his soul over to Satan, however, he did so not for lust or greed, but to save his wife, family and his country.

Because his deed was a selfless one, instead of spending eternity burning in the fire and brimstone of an eternal Hades, Vlad was cursed to walk the Earth forever as one of the living dead, taking for his food the blood of unsuspecting mortal humans.

    Should be good.
Let’s remember Proyas also directed The Crow and Dark City.
    And he’s an Aussie.
