GAAK To End In August

July 4, 2007 By Sam Sloan 1 Comment

To all our GAAK fans on Slice of SciFi —

I’m writing to inform you that the final chapter of GAAK will come to a close in August ending the series. Monique and I thank you so very much for coming along with us on our little 50’s style scifi adventure. Though there won’t be any new updates after August, we hope Slice of SciFi will keep the tooncast link live, allowing Slicer’s access to the entire GAAK archive where they can read the comic for free. Monique and I may even re-run the entire series from the beginning on a Mon-Wed-Fri schedule. But that decision hasn’t been made yet.

All this [is occurring] while Monique and I search high and low for a publisher for the finished GAAK graphic novel. It’s a jungle out there in the wonderful world of publishing, folks, so cross your fingers for us. And a few toes while you’re at it.

For those who choose to keep your GAAK links live after August, we thank you for your continued support. For those who don’t? Thank you for taking the chance on us. Your belief in us and our little scifi comic is, was, and always will be much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Darryl Hughes
Monique MacNaughton

Note to Slicers:

Slice of SciFi will be keeping the link to GAAK live for an unspecified amount of time and we wish Darryl and Monique the best of luck in that rat race called the publishing world. I know what a nightmare it can be having fought that battle myself on more than one occasion.

Thanks for the well wishes, Sam. And everyone else too. It’s a LONG TIME between now and the end of august. And there’s plenty of GAAK left to read and enjoy. So, read and enjoy. LOL! And like Sam said, it’s a jungle out there in the wonderful world of publishing, so cross your fingers and say a prayer (or two) for us. Dee – GAAK writer dude
