Myles In — Lucio Out!

June 27, 2007 By Sam Sloan 1 Comment

alex.jpgsophia.jpgCBS announced today they have chosen actress Sophia Myles (“Underworld: Evolution”) to play a character named Beth Turner on the new SF show “Moonlight” coming to television this fall.

“Moonlight” centers on a P.I., portrayed by Alex O’Laughlin (“The Holiday”), who is also a vampire. Myles will star as Alex’s mortal love interest, who just happens to be an investigative news reporter. Keeping his true identity out of the headlines becomes a struggle as Alex’s character finds himself more emotionally involved with Beth Turner.

Actress Shannon Lucio played the Turner role in the pilot episode, but CBS has asked Myles to step into the part for the weekly series. CBS failed to give a reason for the switch.

Sophia Myles will also be starring in the highly anticipated film “Outlander” with James Caviezel, a film we will giving attention to in an upcoming Slice of SciFi Show.
