Actor Jim Broadbent has joined the Indiana 4 cast along with Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen, John Hurt and Shia LaBeouf.
Broadbent will portray a Yale University professor working with Indy Jones. The actor played another professor — Professor Kirke — in the big budget film “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” His most recent entry was the action comedy “Hot Fuzz” with Simon Pegg. His next big gig will be “Inkheart” starring Brendan Frazer and Helen Mirren.
In 2008 look for the actor is a major film dealing with Watergate and its aftermath. “Dirty Tricks,” starring a blockbuster cast that includes Brad Pitt, Sharon Stone, Meryl Streep, Gwyneth Paltrow, Annette Bening and Jill Clayburgh. Jim will portray President Richard Nixon.
“Indiana Jones 4” begins shooting in various locations around the planet this summer with director Steven Spielberg looking at a May 2008 release date.
