Movie Talk:
“28 Weeks Later” comes nearly 5 years after its predecessor “28 Days Later”, and takes place six months after the rage virus has annihilated the British Isles. The US Army and NATO have declared that the battle against the deadly infection has been won and the reconstruction of the country can begin.
In the first wave of returning refugees, a family is finally reunited–but one of them unwittingly carries a terrible secret. The virus is not truly dead, but only lying dormant, and this time it has mutated and become more resistant and dangerous than ever before.
Kevin Costner will be starring in a new thriller set to be released on June 1 called “Mr. Brooks.”
It is a modern day Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde suspense-filled feature about a successful businessman, a generous philanthropist, a loving father and devoted husband. Mr. Brooks appears to be perfect in every way, but, he has a secret–he is an insatiable serial killer, so lethally clever that no one has ever suspected him.

TV Talk:
- The next release of classic “Doctor Who” on DVD in the United States will be the “New Beginnings” box-set hitting shelves on June 5, with two more classic “Doctor Who” releases for the United States coming later this summer.
On August 14, Warner Brothers will release the first Tom Baker story “Robot” on DVD and, as we reported on an earlier show, the final story of the classic series run “Survival.”
- FX Network outbid competitors such as SPIKE TV, TNT and TBS for the first run TV rights to “Spider-Man 3”.
How much FX ends up paying Sony Pictures for the license fee will depend on the final take for the film at the US box office, but it could run the young cabler as much as $33 million, adding to Sony’s already blossoming bank receipts. FX also signed an exclusive five year deal with Sony for future releases of the film company’s movies.
“Spider Man 3″ will premiere on the FX Network in 2009.
Interview: Cris Macht is the writer/director of the Star Wars fan documentary, The Force Among Us, and he tells us all about making the film and the people he met in his travels to get the movie made.
Future Talk:
Tim Roth has signed on to star as the Hulk’s nemesis The Abomination in the upcoming feature sequel. Roth will play Emile Blonsky/Abomination in the movie, a vicious mercenary who is exposed to gamma rays and becomes a creature even stronger than the Hulk.
“The Incredible Hulk” will start shooting next month in Toronto for a June 13, 2008 release.

The host who never read any Hulk really need to real a Marvel Universe entry or go read his first issue or something. If your only exposure to the Hulk was the crappy movie, and the TV series that both had little to do with the actual Hulk plot, then you are missing SO MUCH.

Yes. Anna in WA sent us a copy of “The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead” by Max Brooks. I notice Amazon has a listing for another similarly titled book by the same author, with a slightly different color. And yes, the same Max Brooks wrote “World War Z”, which I’ve got to get around to reading one of these days.
I love that book! I just got my copy I think a year ago and I wanted to make sure there werent any new ones out that I didnt know about.

Recently saw spider man three, liked it more than I did two but I don’t plan on buying or renting it when it comes out on dvd. His pimp walk was funny as hell, all he needed was a mister microphone and it would have been perfect.
