In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars our good friend Indiana Jim has a big upcoming Star Wars shindig planned for his podcast that we here at Slice of SciFi want to clue you in on.
It’s called the “T.A.L.U. Star Wars Extravaganza” and will feature interviews with the likes of Nathan P. Butler from Star Wars Fan Works, Lou Tambone of Starwarz.com and Cris Macht, the director of The Force Among Us. Cris and his sister Courtney are the official guests of Star Wars Celebration IV to be held in Los Angeles, California.
So, if you love Star Wars be sure to listen to Indiana Jim’s Star Wars Extravaganza Podcast throughout May and beyond.

By hook or by (smuggler scum) crook, I'm going to get down to LA to check out Celebration. Perhaps you or Jim would know... what in Lord Palpitine's name goes on for 4-5 days down there? Should I shoot for attending the whole thing, or just the weekend?? (Herein endeth the Star Wars-referencing nerd-talk.) Cheers!
Elvis in Stormtrooper armor. Swimmin' Pools. Movie Stars.
I don't know, lots of stuff. Stars from the films. Of note this year is Carrie Fisher will be having a live discussion. California Science Center is going to be exhibiting technology from or inspired by the films. Movie marathon, exclusive collectibles, filk...
and Elvis in Stormtrooper armor. What more could one ask for?
I think it sounds great. Unless it somehow leads to a new re-release of the Star Wars DVD's. Like, "Get all six Star War movies with extras and interviews filmed at the 30th anniversary Star Wars celebration!" That would be really crass, but I wouldn't rule out Lucas doing something like that.
I'm just being cynical today. It might actually be fun to take a run down to the City of Smog for this.
I kind of hope it leads to an all new box set of DVD's because my four year old son needs his own copies. And I need some not-so-worn copies.
And Digital Yoda in Empire Strikes Back.
I KNOW! FOR SHAME! But I'm just like that. Gimme more. Star Wars movies is the OS for my life. I need the updated version! Unless it's all buggy like Vista.
