Joker Test Photos Are Fakes

April 25, 2007 By Sam Sloan 1 Comment

Written by: Michael Hickerson (SoSF Journalist)

fakejoker2.jpgBatman fans were abuzz over the weekend when it appeared that confirmed photos of a make-up test for the Joker in the upcoming “The Dark Knight” were posted on-line.

Ain’t It Cool News confirmed the pics were real and ran the story and photos, which featured a Joker who looked like the Crow. The photos were not of star Heath Ledger in the make-up, though fuzzy, far-off photos of the Clown Prince of Crime also surfaced last week.

This morning, Cinematical reports that the photos are not real and have little or nothing to do with the current “Dark Knight” production. Naming well placed sources, Cinematical has debunked the photos and said that Warner Brothers is keeping the make-up test for Heath Ledger’s Joker under tight wraps until closer to the filming and release of the film.

Big surprise. This is just some loser trying to grab some attention by feeding people’s need to get the latest info. This does look pretty cool though… too bad ’cause the photos they have shown of the Joker were a bit of a
letdown. They’ll probably look better in the actual movie.
