Kauffman is “Gifted”

April 4, 2007 By S. K. Sloan 2 Comments

“Friends” co-creator Marta Kauffman, considered one of the finest producer/writers in Hollywood today, is jumping on the reality TV bandwagon for her new Fox Television venture called “Gifted.”

The series will focus on people who claim they have psychic powers of various levels. Areas such as Tarot Card reading, Mind Reading, and Remote Viewing will be examined, along with testing the abilities of those who claim they are able to communicate with spirits and departed loved ones.

Various tests have been created that will try to measure the skill level of each person claiming to have psychic ability. A panel of experts in the field of the paranormal will be set up to weed out the cranks from those who appear to be the genuine article.

“I have always been fascinated about what we can’t see and the gifts that people have that enable them to do incredible things,” said Kauffman. “And, I have always wanted to know if there is a way to quantify people’s ability.”

Those close to Kaufmann claim that she began showing great interest in the subject of the paranormal soon after the death of her parents.

Kaufmann has never been shy about her skepticism for reality television and is going into this with eyes wide open, but with reality guru J.D. Roth co-executive producing with her, some of that burden has been set aside. Roth is known for creating such hit reality shows as “The Biggest Loser” and “Beauty and the Geek.”

Great article about Marta Kaufmann, and the upcoming psychic show, “Gifted.” Any suggestions about how I may contact her will be tremendously appreciated. I am a psychic who has been hosting America’s longest-running, live radio show, for the past 20 years. Many thanks, http://www.JoyceKeller.com

We just report the news about the show, and don’t have any involvement with production of “Gifted”.

Since the show is for Fox, I’d suggest that you contact Fox Television Networks.
