Harry is a tragic hero...they always die. And they kill the bad guy doing it.

Ginny Weasly, I mean it's a classic story of 'he tried to leave her to make her safe but she loved him and stayed near' kind of thing.
Since Voldemort and Harry are suppose to be somehow "linked", I'm guessing there's your two.

Hey, I know that in life/books/movies, the ones who should die aren't the ones who go. So I haven't a clue but would be happy to see them all be tortured by having them live to have magical children going through adolescence ; )
