More “Babylon 5: The Lost Tales” News

November 29, 2006 By Kyle Nin 5 Comments

In a follow-up on today’s Slice of Scifi Show #85, we have further details on the “Babylon 5: The Lost Tales” piece we did. Actress Teryl Rothery ( Dr. Janet Fraiser on Stargate SG-1) has been cast in the direct-to-DVD movie.

“What I can say about the [DVD film series] is that we go to Mars, Minbar and of course B5,” said B5 creator and producer J. Michael Straczynski. “We introduce a new kind of Minbari cruiser, and there’s a rather startling sequence on Earth. I’ve decided to shoot each segment a little differently from each other, so they each have their own visual style that complements that particular story.”

The B5 DVD is expected to be released throughout North America in the spring of 2007. Filming is currently underway in Vancouver, British Columbia, according to Gateworld.net.

Teryl can also be seen in the tragic drama “Whisper,” and she joins Nathan Fillion and Katee Sackhoff in the supernatural thriller “White Noise 2: the Light.” Both films are due out in 2007.

Woo-hoo! I cannot wait for this DVD and, hopefully, for more B5 goodness from JMS. I just hope that these are better than than “Legend of the Rangers.”

If it were done with construction paper ala South park it’d be better than Legend of the Rangers. 😉
