Theater For the Mind

November 2, 2006 By News Droid 4 Comments

zainrecording3.jpgjohnson.jpgDave Johnson and Alan Zain have put together an ambitious multi-genre Podcast called “Sine Die Nocturnus,” that aspires to produce plays for the internet user. A unique concept that seeks to create theater for the mind. That is to say… Audio dramas with ambient music that fits the mood.

Johnson’s website, “DaveFilms,” also offers a plethora of entertainment choices and links that feature SF and Horror movie and audio stories, including titles such as “Twilight Sleep,” “The Game” and the classic “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”

On the docket for next release is a SciFi feature titled “Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom,” and a comedy called “Angel of the Odd.”

Looking to the future you can expect productions of “the Premature Burial” this month, the classic tale – “A Christmas Carol” set for the holiday season in December, and the anticipated scifi/horror entry “Perdition City,” release date to-be-announced.

Current programs are available from iTunes, Zencast.com, Podcastingnews.com, Jamendo.com, and Drammapod.com.

I’m so pleased that my work on Sleepy Hollow has been so well received (see my blog on myspace! myspace.com/planetzain).
that its got me all hepped up for Alice In Wonderland…and all the other exciting audio projects I have planned.
The holiday hiatus was nice, but wow I am chompin at the bit to get 2007 underway.
Look for more earworthy stuff from Dave and Planet Zain coming soon.
