Deadwood Actor Very Much Wanted Alive

July 12, 2006 By Sam Sloan 1 Comment

Ian McShane.jpgIan McShane, the powerful force of HBO’s hit weekly series “Deadwood” is a very much sought after actor these days.

In one of our earlier Slice of SciFi programs (Show #054) we talked about Rene Zellweger’s rare foray into the supernatural/horror genre. McShane is about to join her in that journey when he co-stars with Zellweger in Christian Alvart’s “Case 39.”

The story is the erie tale of a social worker’s look into an abuse case simply identified as Case 39. She investigates the abuse of a young girl, supposedly by her mother, only to discover more supernatural and sinister elements are at play. McShane will play the cop who helps Zellweger investigate the case.

McShane is also set to do voice work in the upcoming DreamWorks Animation film “Kung Fu Panda” and the next “Shrek 3” installment.

Deadwood is a great show tho I doubt it would be as good without all the cuss words… hehe

Ian is one of my Fav characters on the show, it’s almost like he’s directing the destiny of the whole town in the background and nobody else realizes it…
