The Return of Dark Angel

July 9, 2006 By Sam Sloan 11 Comments

alba.jpgThey designed her to be the perfect soldier, a human weapon … then she escaped. In a future not far from now, in a broken world, she is haunted by her past. She cannot run, she must fight … to discover her destiny.

Max (Jessica Alba) is a genetically enhanced human prototype known as an “X5,” or “transgenic.” Following her escape from a top-secret military program known as Manticore, she is hunted by her former handler, the ruthless Colonel Donald Michael Lydecker (John Savage), through the edgy, underground counterculture of 21st-century Seattle.

Living in hiding and ever fearful of being recaptured, Max pursues a lonely and perilous mission to reunite with her transgenic “siblings,” who scattered following their joint escape from Manticore. Max is aided in her quest by Logan Cale (Michael Weatherly), an idealistic cyber-journalist battling repression and corruption in the ruins of a world in decline.

Look for all the episodes from Seasons 1 and 2 of Dark Angel to return each Monday on The SciFi Channel beginning tomorrow, July 10, 2006 7/6C.

Any hint of SciFi restarting the series? I actually liked the show, even when it made a weird twist 2nd season. And they ended on a frigging cliffhanger, Much like Farscape…

If they do it won’t be with Jessica. She’s too big in movies now to get tied down to a weekly series on a cable network — unless of course you’re talkin’ HBO. 🙂

I suppose she would be willing to do a Dark Angel movie, then.

I think the show would have ran a lot longer if she stayed a thief and didn’t get bogged down with their own mythos.

Personally I liked that they took the second season in a new direction. It takes guts to do that and skill to do it well.

And there’s no way in hell that there’ll be a new series, since all the stars have moved on to other things (Alba is doing films, Michael Weatherly is in NCIS, Jensen Ackles is in Supernatural, etc). A movie would only be possible if there was enough fan support (the Browncoats would support it out of guilt too) *and* if the stars were willing to come back (there’s no way in hell a movie could work without Alba or Weatherly).

I can Say that i agree with all of you.
2 season ter into some think different and weard that’s why they end it. I am afraid that its imposible to start again the show because to much time has pass since the time it ends.
Now the only think that we have to waiting for is that Jessica and Michael may want to do a movie that it will bring the happy ending that all siking for.But it is not like
    Hollywood works.
But they say : Never say never and hope dies last.
Lets hope that it will happen with less freak and more Max and Logan Action

    Thank you for reading this!!!!

I think it would be great if they do a movie but I think it would also need Jensen Ackles. They set him up to be the new love interest and Cameron said that where he wanted it to go…

This is seriously killing me, i mean i like suspence, but only when i know there’s more to that suspence, so i don’t really want to believe it’s over. But they’ve waited a long time to release season 3 so it’s not going to be the same. But i’m gamed if they are.
