“Snakes on a Plane” Official Site Launched

May 30, 2006 By Kyle Nin 1 Comment

0,10114,5059880,00.jpgNew Line Cinema has launched the official site for Samuel L. Jackson action-thriller “Snakes on a Plane,” due to hit theaters this summer on August 18.

Available at the site is a nifty little item called the “Snakes Kit.” The kit provides an introduction about the film by Jackson, as well as some new images, wallpapers, AIM icons, a screensaver, banners, the logo and the teaser poster. Included as well are three video clips and some interesting sound clips.

In the much hyped mile-high thriller Jackson stars as an FBI agent assigned to escort a witness on a flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles. The witness has been targeted for assassination and it’s Jackson’s job to keep him alive for trial in LA. However, in a unique overkill strategy, the assassin releases hundreds of deadly snakes on the commercial airplane in order to eliminate the witness. Jackson, the airline pilot, frightened crew and passengers must then band together in a desperate attempt to survive at 30,000 feet with the deadly vipers everywhere.

I know that Evo has shown a bit of interest in this movie, but the plot line seems a bit like a bad b movie plot…

Hopefully it will be “Snakes On a Plane” and not “Plan 9″…
