SciFi.com is now offering a wiki of its own for all of us who aren’t geeked out enough on scifi quite yet.
Dubbed Scifipedia, this brand new resource for everything scifi will is hoping to become the science fiction online encyclopedia of note for anything and everything scifi and genre related.
It works just like the Wikipedia we have all grown to know and love but better for geeks in that is concentrated strictly on the genre that courses through our veins and consumes so much of our lives. It has just debuted and has over 1000 entries already just screaming for the enthusiast to edit, update and correct for accuracy.
If it’s a scifi topic, fact, term or definition then the Scifipedia will become the online encyclopedic source to check for the data being researched.

While I’m somewhat happy to see SciFi Channel jumping on the wiki bandwagon, did they have to wreck what little usability the Wikipedia software offers with their scifi.com reskin?
I mean, I can’t even find a link to “Recent Changes”, a defining feature of wikis. And, the top half / third of the page is uglified by their standard banner and nav, along with an explanation of the wiki on EVERY PAGE.
Bah. I handwave dismissively.
