Sound designers Bret Killoran and Dashen Naidoo, and Film Editor Dev Singh stop by to talk about their work on Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.

First, Dash & Bret talk about creating the immersive environment where the off-screen sounds play as large a role as the forefront sounds in setting the atmosphere for the scene and the film as a whole, as well as the collaborative nature of the work they do. They also talk about the fun of working with a director like Guillermo del Toro, as well as how they got into sound design to begin with.

Next, Dev talks about how his work led him in film school from directing to editing, and to become a fan of the horror genre on the way. He talks about how he’s developed his eye for cutting stories together, continuing to learn from old sources and new, and so much more.
