First Look: “Volition” Official Teaser

First Look: “Volition” Official Teaser

August 18, 2019 By Summer Brooks Leave a Comment

The mind-bending science-fiction thriller, VOLITION, directed by Tony Dean Smith, plays at London’s legendary FrightFest on August 24th, 2019. In the run-up, its first official teaser trailer is released.

VOLITION is taking the genre festival circuit by storm, having won BEST FEATURE at the Philip K. Dick Sci-Fi Film Festival, won BEST SCI-FI FILM and BEST SCREENPLAY at the Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival, and BEST DIRECTOR and ACTOR at Rome’s OSTIA FILM FESTIVAL. It is nominated for an impressive 7 awards at the upcoming FilmQuest, including Best Director for Tony Dean Smith, Best Actor for Adrian Glynn McMorran, and Best Supporting Actor for Magda Apanowicz.

Written and produced by Tony Dean Smith & Ryan W. Smith in association with Paly Productions, Volition is a gritty science-fiction thriller, about a man afflicted with clairvoyance, who tries to change his fate when a series of events leads to a vision of his own murder.

The film stars Adrian Glynn McMorran (The Revenant, Arrow), alongside sci-fi fan favorites Magda Apanowicz (You, Caprica, KyleXY), Aleks Paunovic (Snow Piercer, War for the Planet of the Apes, Van Helsing, Dirk Gently), with screen veterans John Cassini (Seven, Continuum), Frank Cassini (Watchmen, Good Fellas) and Bill Marchant (Chappie, Strange Empire).

Volition aims to reach fans of intelligent sci-fi. Reviewers are already likening it to classics such as LOOPER, MEMENTO, and INCEPTION.

Listen to our interview with Tony Dean Smith and Ryan Smith from the 2019 International Horror & Sci-fi Film Festival.
