This week, filmmaker and VFX designer Hasraf “Haz” Dulull talks about his indie scifi feature The Beyond, a documentary-style movie about what happens when an anomaly appearing near Earth orbit implies the arrival of extraterrestrial visitors.

Take a look behind the scenes at the making of The Beyond

Haz talks about writing the story, getting the movie made, how much of the movie is VFX instead of practical effects, and more. He also talks a bit about getting his newest movie, 2036: Origin Unknown made, how Katee Sackhoff came on board, and more.

What stories do you want to see in your indie scifi films? Let us know! Call 602-635-6976 and leave a message, send Summer an email, or have your say in the comments below!

Great Talk. Have some things to do but I wanted to thank Summer and Haz.

I own amazon prime VOD of “The Beyond” and “Origin Unknown”.

I have noticed comments that reflect the current understanding of Science Fiction by folks is limited to dinosaurs movies, Marvel, Transformers, etc. Kinda sad that asking someone if they ever read “Way Station” & hear, “Never heard of that movie”.

Google is killing me with EU legal mumbo Jumbo – Doing maintenance.
