Slice of SciFi 765: Boarding the Enterprise

This week, the 10th anniversary edition of Boarding the Enterprise was released to honor the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, and the editors of that collection join us to talk Trek memories and more.

First, Tim Callender joins Summer to talk with award-winning author David Gerrold about his memories of working on the original Star Trek, his involvement with later Trek endeavors, his hopes for the new series and more.

Next, Summer chats with award-winning author Robert J. Sawyer about what Star Trek meant to him growing up and to his writing, how the original edition of the collection came about, his favorite episodes and essays, the impact that Trek had on a generation of writers, and more.
