Sharks… Why Did It Have to Be Sharks?

Sharks… Why Did It Have to Be Sharks?

May 29, 2014 By Summer Brooks Leave a Comment

A network shark battle is brewing… may the best (or worst) sharks win!

Discovery’s “Shark Week” has been a growing fixture of the late summer airwaves for over 25 years, so some fans might respond to Syfy’s new “Sharknado Week” with a “so, what took you so long?”

“Sharknado Week” will run July 26 – August 2, with Sharknado 2 being the featured airing:

July 26, 9pm: Mega Shark vs Mecha Shark
July 27, 9pm: Sharkmania: The Top 15 Biggest Baddest Bloodiest Bites
July 30, 9pm: Sharknado 2: The Second One
August 2, 9pm: Sharktopus vs Pteracuda

Not to worry, Discovery isn’t phased, and has already put out their first promo for this year’s “Shark Week”, complete with a wink at Sharknado:

And Syfy seems to be encouraging a Jets vs Sharks (but all Sharks) throwdown:

And if you truly can’t wait for the return of the real “Shark Week” (August 10), just keep your eye on the Shark Week Countdown Timer
