While speaking to reports at last weekend’s San Diego Comic Con, actor David Giuntoli dropped a few hints about what fans can expect when Grimm returns for its third season.
Giuntoli confirmed that his character Nick will be a zombie when the series returns later this year.
“Nick is now a zombie,” he said. “His Grimm powers can be used for evil… So season three picks up right where season two ended – quite literally, right where it ended. And I’m not in much of the first episode. I have actually not yet gone back to work, whereas everybody else has filmed a full week. They’re all looking for me and/or dealing with me. So I do eventually wake up – I can’t say where, what country, or anything like that. But I start wreaking absolute havoc wherever I land.”
Giuntoli admitted that he is looking forward to the new take on his character, saying: “It’s kind of cool, because I play this cop, this detective, but it’s almost as if I’m doing a guest star on another show right now as ‘Zombie Guy’. It’s fun – you get to do different things here. It’s really neat.”
Giuntoli also opened up about Nick’s relationship with Juliette, confirming that the pair “are looking to be back together”.
“But I’m sure they’re going to throw a major problem in there,” he added. “Nick and Juliette just need some quiet alone time together, where they can lock eyes, hang out, order food, watch Lifetime.”
The new season of Grimm begins in October.
