While we know that Christopher Eccleston has no intention of returning for Doctor Who’s fiftieth anniversary celebration next year, that doesn’t mean the other remaining actors to play our favorite Time Lord can’t or won’t return.
And while Tom Baker declined the opportunity to reprise his role as the fourth Doctor for the twentieth anniversary story, “The Five Doctors” (he’d only left the role a year before and still wanted distance from his epic seven year run), Baker says he’s up to return this time.
“I think if they ask me nicely or I can see what they want me to do, I’d consider it,” Baker said at Collectormania 18 in the U.K. this past weekend. “I think the fans have been so good to me, they’d expect me to at least make an appearance.”
Baker was on a panel with fellow actors Colin Baker, Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann. All of the classic Who actors have expressed an interest in coming back as has the tenth Doctor David Tennant.

My 3 favorite Doctors (Baker, Tennant & Smith) together on the Who set at the same time. Not sure I can contain myself.

Please! They need to get them all in for the 50th.

This has made my YEAR! I have always wanted my two favorite Doctors (Baker and Tennant) together and the fact that Baker will ever even consider it a possibility is the best news I have heard in a long time. This would be EPIC! I can’t wait to see what will happen next! Please ask nicely and have a great part! 😀
