During the filming of Resident Evil 5 yesterday, several extras were sent to the hospital after an on-set accident.
According to Wendy Drummond, a spokesperson for Toronto Police Services, a wheeled platform collapsed during a shoot after a group of actors began moving across the stage.
The sudden shift in weight caused the platform to break down, which created a domino effect of injuries. A total of 16 people were hurt, including a dozen zombie-dressed extras. When medics and firemen arrived on the scene, they had a slight problem on their hands. Because of the zombie makeup, it was hard to tell which wounds were real and which were fake.
Ten extras were sent to the hospital. The good news is none of the injuries were considered life-threatening, and everything is back to business as usual.

… and now those extras will be able to be more convincing zombies, using their actual injuries as motivation…
