Director Roland Emmerich has gone back to square one on the adaptation of Issac Asimov’s Foundation trilogy.
Emmerich has thrown out the previous treatment by Robert Rodat and has hired Dante Harper to pen a new draft for Sony.
Harper is coming off of writing All You Need Is Kill for director Doug Liman, Black Hole for David Fincher, and a rewrite of the currently-shooting Jeremy Renner flick, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.
The project has been in development since 2009.
