Hathaway Defends Catwoman Costume

Hathaway Defends Catwoman Costume

August 9, 2011 By Mike Hickerson 5 Comments

Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Rises"

If you don’t like the new Catwoman costume for the Dark Knight Rises, actress Anne Hathaway says you’ve “only seen about a tenth of what the suit will do.”

The Oscar-nominated actress said she expected fans to be split on the costume when Warner Brothers released the first official look last week.

“I was not going to admit it. I asked someone to send me a few reactions, and I happen to know that MTV’s reaction was ‘meh’,” she tells MTV News.

She went on to say that those who liked the costume had “excellent taste.”

What costume? Can’t see much in that shot and it’s mainly a pair of goggles. Only real requirement I have is some cat ears so I do hope they get added at some point.

I’ll agree with MTV’s reaction…meh…Hathaway says you have only seen a tenth of what it can do…it’s not about what it can do…it’s about what it looks like…and it doesn’t identify her as cat woman…she could be any comic book hero/villain out there.

And of course she’s gonna defend it…she’s playing the part…doesn’t make her right.

Wanted to add …it looks more like Emma Peel from the avengers than catwoman…that was the point I was trying to make.

So sick of people coming to conclusions with next to no information. Go see the movie when it comes out first, then form your opinion. People can be so stupid…
