Orson Scott Card’s best-selling, award-winning novel “Ender’s Game” is headed back to Hollywood. According to the Hollywood Reporter, a new package to adapt the novel for the silver-screen made the rounds at all the major studios yesterday.
Here’s the package: a script by Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), who is also attached to direct, with Star Trek superproducers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci producing along with Gigi Pritzker of OddLot Entertainment.
The package made the rounds with studios and financing companies and follow-up meetings are expected next week.
No word yet on if any of the studios will bid on the project.
The Hugo-winning novel has been in and out of development since its publication. So don’t Fandango your tickets for it just yet….

Does any one else hear “Go Go Ender Rangers” playing in the background? No? Just me, eh?
If Hood spoils this… Well, He’ll probably spoil it, so I should just shut up now.

Card has shot down all attempts in the past because the studios keep trying to make Ender a teenager for the movie adaptation instead of the actual age of the character in the book. And Card won’t allow it. Studios need to stop ruining existing material.
