Actor Greg Grunberg says that “Heroes” could live on–on the silver screen.
The actor says that creator Tim Kring is determined to keep the universe of the once-hit series alive. And now that NBC has passed on a mini-series to wrap up the show, Grunberg things a movie is the next logical step.
“I think there has to be [a movie],” he said. “But I also predicted they wouldn’t just out and out cancel it, so what do I know?”
He continued: “It makes business sense to do something – there’s a huge fanbase that wants some sort of conclusion and I think the actors want to do it.
“It’s not about making a fortune to come back – we all appreciate the fans so much, I think if the call went out, we’d all be on board.”
“…there’s a huge fanbase”
Correction: There was a huge fan before Heroes started to suck. Now, not so much.
Straight to Walmart bargin bin release?
I think that after the 4th season finale, a good movie showing heroes coming out to the world could be interesting to see…
Kind of like the X-Men going public with their abilities.
Considering Heroes was one of the top 3 downloaded TV series in it’s 4th season, I think there’s some room for arguement “for” his position on a sizaeble fanbase. However, a TV mini-series will be just fine and then *poof*
We are new converts to the Heroes season after it ended. We just finished watching season 1 after getting it from netflix, and now we can’t wait to see the rest – currently in season 2. Season 1 was so amazing. We hope they do come out with a miniseries because we don’t want to see it stop on a cliffhanger.
You’re adorable!
I truly hope that by being able to watch it all in quick succession, you aren’t as affected by what happens in Seasons 2 and 3 as many of the rest of us were. You’ll have less scarring that way.
I’d imagine a “Heroes” movie would only bring more attention to the faults in the show. Unless they bring in new writers (yet again), there would be more characterization changes at the drop of a hat to suit the plot’s needs without any other reason. Character development be damned.
It’s the fault of all you on the Slice of SciFi podcast, that i started watching Heroes. As i remember, I was watching something else which came on at the same time. But so much gushing, I had to see what it was about, so caught up on seasons 1-3 before 4 started. Yes, I liked it. Yes, I hate when series aren’t neatly wrapped up. So I would be game for a wrap-up movie. Probably NBC would be up for a miniseries wrap-up, if they saw a good script for a movie.
