During the weeks leading up to the release of last summer’s “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” there were rumors that Paramount was unhappy with the work of director Steven Sommers and had booted him from the project.
The rumors were false and the film went on to earn $150 million at the box-office.
That means we’re getting a sequel and that Sommers will be back in the director’s chair. Sommer will direct a script by “Zombieland” writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

Let’s hope that the story this time is much better than the first one. We need more Zartan and the Dreadnoks!
And of course, we have to see Tomax and Xamot.
Lejon says
Is anyone else offended that they’re sequeling this?
Jayson says
Sweet! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the first one and was certain there wouldn’t be a sequel and so this is very good news.
