UP is the one I remember most, though I haven’t seen them all, nor likely to see most until they reach DVD.

‘Up’ was simply a masterpiece of storytelling.

“Up”: there is no contest.
It should be nominated for Best Picture.

Not wanting to take anything away from people who enjoyed the movie, but I still maintain it is not only different, but also inferior to their prior works.
I’ve yet to hear what people liked about it. I wonder if people were expecting lighter fare, and were pleasantly surprised by the more adult-oriented story. That would be fine if it had been made and marketed as a movie aimed at an older audience, but that was not my impression.
Oh well, perhaps it gets the nod by default. I’ve not seen many of the other movies on that list, so I cannot comment as to whether any of them are Oscar material. I don’t think Up is, but perhaps it’s better than most other stuff on there.
I enjoyed Monsters vs. Aliens a lot more, but I would not consider that Oscar material either.
Just my humble opinion.
