Could director Sam Raimi have the magic to break the curse of badly done adaptations of video-games into feature films?
We’ll find out when Raimi takes the reigns for “World of Warcraft.” Variety reports the director has signed on for the film, which is scheduled to begin production after Raimi’s work on “Spider-Man 4” is completed next year.
The “World of Warcraft” movie will be co-produced by Legendary Entertaiment and Blizzard, the game’s publisher. Warner Brothers will contribute funding for production of the film and will distribute the movie according to the trade paper.

I don’t know if Raimi is the right man for the job, but i do think MMORPG’s are an untapped market for new movie ideas.
They’ve already made some documentaries exploring the world of MMORPG players and their families, like the soon to be released DVD “Second Skin”. When it released at SXSW, i thought it took a really honest look at the human factor in these games, which gets ignored a most of the frakking time.
They have an awesome official site up with all sorts of goodies at http://bit.ly/SSkin

I will watch this movie as soon as I made my character experience better and got lot of items in the game and I think having found http://www.pixel4less.com/articlezone/article35483.html will make this possible.
