Our special guest on this week’s Slice of SciFi show (#163) will be producer/writer Robert Wertheimer, the executive producer of “Charlie Jade.”
Robert Wertheimer has been working steadily in the entertainment industry for nearly 30 years and has produced or been involved in the production process of many well known projects including the “Friday the 13th” and “Robo Cop” television programs, the big screen features “Meatballs” with Bill Murray and “The Gate.” However, by far his most exciting project to date has been “Charlie Jade,” the series he co-created with Chris Roland, writes and executive produces.
We had Robert on our show over a year ago (Feb 07) when “Charlie Jade” was airing in South Africa and several other markets around the world, but wasn’t slated to be seen in the United States. A lot has changed since that last interview and he has returned to the show to tell us about it. The biggest news is “Charlie Jade” will be airing on the SCI FI Channel beginning Friday, June 6, 2009 as a lead-in for “Doctor Who.”
Also on tap for the show is all the latest in “24” news, a “Watchmen” update, what Ron Moore is up to now that BSG is winding down and much, much more.
This is one show you shouldn’t miss, so be sure to tune in on Saturday, May 31 via iTunes or your favorite podcatcher.

Amazing news, it’s great to hear again about this wonderful show.
Let’s hope we’ll find out something about a new season.
Because when I mailed Chris Roland about a premiere on SciFi and season 2, he said that “If the series does well on SciFi in the US this will certainly support the possibility of a second season.”
