In what has turned out to be the biggest season yet for SCI FI Channel’s landmark television show “Eureka,” in Tuesday night’s episode, which is also the show’s season finale, Sheriff Carter and Nathan Stark have to set aside their rivalry and trust each other to save Allison’s (played by Salli Richardson) son from a deadly virus. One of the supposed baddies in this finale may surprise you.
A show that began as episodic television, while continuing to keep that formula in mind, has with Season Two, begun to have an underlying plot and story-arc centering on Allison’s autistic son and his mysterious connection with that strange force hidden deep within an underground vault at Global Dynamic.
Fans can breathe a sigh of relief with the knowledge that Eureka’s cliffhanger won’t leave them hanging. The SCI FI Channel announced late last week that they have already renewed its highest rated program for a third season, to begin next summer.

Didn’t this show just have it’s premiere like a month or so ago? Six episodes is now a season?

Time flies when you’re having fun watching a good program. The second season began back on July 10. Tonight’s finale will make episode 13. 12 if you count the day off for Labor Day.

We’re just starting the new season of Eureka in Canada…
While at Dragon Con, I was working for the Astronomy Cast Live recording, where Dr. Pamela Gay interviewed Dr. Kevin Frazier, who is the NASA science advisor for Eureka and BSG!.
He said that they did something serendipidous in the Season 2 premier which turned out to have a cool result in the Season 2 finale. You may want to go back to the S2 Premier and re-watch! 😉
