Can I humbly suggest that you run, not walk, to go see “Stardust” this week? It’s everything you loved about the first “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie plus a great Neil Gaiman twist on a fairy tale. It’s been fairly well reviewed by the mainstream media, though they really don’t get it. My non-geek husband even liked it because it has a quirky sense of humor about itself. It’s a great date movie
It’s not a kid movie, though there is no graphic violence or vulgarity, just some strong images that may disturb very young (under 10) kids.
And the movie is just beautiful to look at. The wonderful effects are woven into the story and don’t just slap you upside the head and scream, “LOOK AT ME AREN’T I COOL!”. It deserves an Oscar nomination for the visuals.
Sorry to send this by email but I couldn’t figure out how to post this on the website. And you guys give me so much fun every week I wanted to share something fun back at you.
Keep flyin’. We’re all right behind ya’

Thanks Lisa for the input. I hope all our Slice of SciFi fans, like yourself, go out and see Stardust. It’s worth the price of a ticket alone just to see giants in the industry like De Niro, O’Toole, Pfeiffer and McKellen all working together in the same film. That’s something you will rarely find.
