Batman’s New Set of Wheels

June 18, 2007 By Sam Sloan 7 Comments

In the next Batman film “The Dark Knight,” the capped crusader will get to tool around on some sporty new wheels thanks to his Batcycle dubbed the “Batpod!” Kudos to the LA Times, here’s your first-look at Batman’s mini-chopper.

“Holy ‘Easy Rider’ Batman — Nice Wheels!”

Definitely digging the guns but what’s with the tires?? Maneuverability must be pretty bad…holy-no-turning-radius-batman!

I’m with dingosatemybaby, those tires don’t look like they were made for anything but going straight.

Looks lovely but as said somewhat impractical. Personally I would have been more than happy with a return of the batmobile from the last film- my god I would give my right ball for a half hour in that baby!

I agree that this thing doesn’t serve practicality. No rear fender for a mud and water catch to prevent an ugly wet-dirt stripe up the middle of the cape, poor manuverablity with tires that look like they were made to transport the shuttle to the lift-off pad….and speaking of cape – if he gets that thing caught in the linkage – LOOK OUT! “Holy necktie party Batman.”

But hey, it’s a superhero movie – not rocket science. 🙂

I don’t think Batman would be using that thing enough times to warrant him worrying about himself getting dirty.

And, we haven’t seen the movie yet. Who knows how practical it is?
