Dorkness Is Rising on Slice of SciFi Show #090 – January 3, 2007

We have two guests for you on our next show. They are writer Matt Vancil and executive producer John Frank Rosenblum from The Gamers Dorkness Rising.

Matt Vancil is the writer and director of The Gamers: Dorkness Rising. His debut as a writer-director resulted in the wildly successful fantasy cult film, “The Gamers”, which won first place in the 2003 Gen Con Indy Film Festival and has screened worldwide. Matt is a founding member of Dead Gentlemen Productions and has served as head writer for the company since its inception in 2002. He has taught filmmaking to both high school and college student.

John Frank Rosenblum (pictured right) is an American film producer, screenwriter, and actor, who has been in the trade for over twenty-five years. He is an internationally recognized expert on motion picture trailers. He graduated from the School of Cinematic Arts, University of Southern California and the Darlington School. Frank has produced local and national public broadcasting fund raising programming for such BBC programs as “Doctor Who”, “Eastenders”, and “Red Dwarf”, shows for which he also wrote, produced, and occasionally made character appearances. Frank also produced some episodes on “Star Trek: The Next Generation”.He is a member of the Producers Guild of America, Screen Actors Guild and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He serves as one of the executive producers for “The Gamers: Dorkness Rising.”
