Rumors abound concerning several upcoming projects involving Michael Keaton, although at present that is all they are, just rumors.
The first such rumor is that Keaton will return in the next Batman sequel, this time as The Joker. When approached recently to comment about the rumor Keaton would only say that it was a wonderful idea, but probably wouldn’t happen — which is Hollywood talk for if the role is juicy enough and the contract fat enough, he might take a look at it.
The next rumor that Keaton addressed was his revising the role we all loved him in, Beetlejuice. On that subject he was a little more positive and stated that the chances were good once Tim Burton finishes the script and all the right people are available at the same time.
The final rumor concerning Keaton has to do with that little Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriquez project called Grind House. Keaton is said to be the one they want to tap for a main role in the Rodriquez half of the film. Tarantino and Keaton have worked well together in the past with Jackie Brown.
If all these “rumors” pan out to be true then Michael Keaton will be very busy and visible over the next couple of years.
