Iron Sink LLC, a new media company, announced that its reality web show, “The Shatner Project” received a Streamy Award from The International Academy of Web Television (IAWTV). The Shatner Project follows the adventures in life of pop culture icon actor William Shatner as he goes on the greatest adventure of all; his life.
Iron Sink developed the project around the life adventures of William Shatner. The show chronicles and documents not only events and happenings but also William Shatner’s opinions and diatribes on various subject matters. Executive Producer Lisabeth Shatner, daughter of Mr. Shatner, co-hosts several of the shows episodes. She provides a dialogue and insight into the life of William Shatner that no other interviewer could have.
The Shatner Project was borne out of a desire by William Shatner to ‘bookend’ some of the projects he had done earlier in his life that have become classics; such as his rendition of ‘Rocket Man.’ He hoped to give new insight into the thought process behind these classic pieces by adding commentary. Iron Sink’s pedigree that reaches all the way back to the beginnings of web based entertainment in 1995 and created a great vehicle for William Shatner to accomplish his wishes.
“I love doing The Shatner Project. It’s great fun and also brings me closer to my daughter. So what a gig: win a prize and deepen a family relationship.” said William Shatner.
I have worked with William Shatner for 10 years now on different projects. He is incredibly brave in putting himself out there and speaking his mind. He has never once told us that we have to edit something out or pull down a video. He is, and always will be our hero.” said Iron Sink CEO Scott Zakarin.
The Shatner Project was nominated in the Best Reality or Documentary Web Series category of the Streamy Awards. The award was the first Streamy award presented during the inaugural ceremony, making the show the first recipient of a Streamy award.

Dawson Animated
“Sin City” and “Grindhouse” star Rosario Dawson will be getting animated in the new SF series “The Gemini Division,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The new series, that will likely be a future television vehicle, is a combination motion capture/anime-live action, hard-driving SF cop drama.
The project will not only be produced for television, but Dawson is also attached to star in and produce the series for a theatrical film release and video game.
In “The Gemini Division” Dawson will play a New York cop investigating the bizarre murder of her boy friend. Her investigation reveals a global conspiracy involving the creation of simulated lifeforms that have assimilated into the common populace.
Dawson is also in talks with the Weinstein Co. to star and produce in a film based on her own comic book creation “Occult Crimes Taskforce.”
